Here you can see Armando manning the company’s all-important plasma cutter. Burning at 30,000 degrees, at 20,000 ft/sec velocity, it cuts a path (160”/min) into thick steel effortlessly, guided by computer coordinates for high quality replication.

Freshly cut by the plasma cutter, these thick steel plates will be formed and welded to become the top plates for surface mounted traffic spikes.

Spikes, spikes, and more spikes! They really crank them out at this specialized factory. This pallet of spikes is ready to be shipped off to the plating service down the road. A dip in hot acid, then a fresh plating of zinc will do.

Panasonic robotic welders are known around the world for their precision and durability. They’re a real work-horse! It still takes a human with computer programming skills to set the moves right. Jeff Bales designed the jig used in this photo to effectively mass produce hinges. On the day of this photo the robotic welder cranked out 400 hinges easily. The jig was carefully built by Tim and Mike.
